About the Artist

Jason is a landscape photographer driven by a passion for capturing the essence of natural beauty. His lens transforms fleeting moments into immersive visual narratives, whether it’s the vibrant hues of a sunset, the pristine silence of snow-covered landscapes, or the raw, untamed energy of a stormy sea.

Rooted in the Seattle area, Jason graduated from the University of Washington before launching a two-decade career as a software engineer at Boeing. His photographic journey began unexpectedly during a business trip to Okinawa, Japan, where the island’s rich history and beauty captivated him. Inspired, Jason picked up a Rebel T1i camera and discovered a profound connection to visual storytelling. Since that moment, he has dedicated countless hours to mastering his craft, continuously learning and refining both his in-field techniques and post-processing skills.

Photography has been more than just an artistic pursuit for Jason – it’s been a path of personal growth. He candidly acknowledges that patience has always been challenging for him, but through photography, he has learned the value of stillness and waiting. This philosophy now extends beyond his art, enriching his broader life perspective.

Currently, Jason and his wife live a nomadic lifestyle, traveling full-time in their Airstream with their two dogs. This unique lifestyle provides him unparalleled opportunities to capture landscapes in diverse conditions, seasons, and locations. Jason believes that a single location can offer infinite photographic possibilities, changing with light, weather, and season. He has developed a particular affinity for his home region of the Pacific Northwest, especially its dramatic and dynamic winter coastlines, but has yet to explore a region that doesn’t provide infinite possibilities of unique beauty to draw a photographer’s lens.

His growing gallery showcases this philosophy – each image is a testament to his patient observation and artistic vision. Jason invites viewers to explore his work, promising that each photograph tells a unique story.

For those interested in following his ongoing visual journey, he maintains active social media channels with regular updates.
